Day 105/365 - Cloudy Skies

Monday, March 29.

It's a beautiful day. The rain finally gave way to the beautiful shining sun. The heat eased my soul and calmed my mind. No longer shivering from the cold, I can focus on other thoughts as I walk from place to place. My mind wanders. I enjoy it. Keep the thoughts rolling and the ideas marching.

A new poem for anyone who cares:

Land by Christopher Fecio

Picture yourself inside a frame; not a square frame, though.
It's a big round frame, like the windows on a ship.
Those odd little windows that fill with faces once the ship reaches the sea.
Smiling faces bordered by fearful frowns and puffed out cheeks.
You always used to laugh when you saw those silly faces passing by on another ship.
But we went fast and sleek, amazing even the most doldrum viewer.
Keep riding the waves and keep waving to those sorry-eyed riders.

Wrote it the other day. Not my best writing ever, but its good to get words onto paper again. I hope to keep writing; I hope to keep reading.

I started Grapes of Wrath again the other day. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy it. I'm going to keep up with it, and in between gum prints, final papers and presentations, I'm hoping to finish it in the next couple weeks.

I should have more to say, but I'm a bit tired, and just about to begin a paper. I'll try to stay more on top of writing from now on.

Drip, drip, drop.
Flip, flip, flop.
Keep on walking towards the light,
Please, please, don't stop.
